Sydney Aquarium
Visiting Sydney Aquarium is an experience you’ll never forget.
Just a few minutes walk west from the centre of Sydney, the aquarium is located at Darling Harbour and opposite Harbourside and the Maritime Museum.
It really is like stepping into a whole new world as you go deep underwater to experience thousands of Australia’s stunning and sometimes scary marine creatures.
Imagine having a 300+ kilogram Grey Nurse Shark pass overhead only inches away. Or how exciting it would be to come face-to-face with the world’s largest Stingray.
The excitement doesn’t stop there though because there are also Salt Water Crocs, Tiger Sharks, Morey Eels and Australia’s very own and very unique Platypus.
There are also a bunch of fun things especially for the little ones. The touch pools are always popular because children love getting their hands wet and touching real Starfish, Urchins and Sea Cucumbers.
The aquarium also has an amazing display dedicated to Australia’s magnificent Great Barrier Reef. The richness of colour and marine life is something you really must see to believe.
Not to mention the delight you’ll have watching Lion and Fur Seals show off their amazing underwater agility and speed in their very own Seal Sanctuary.
